The news was delivered directly by Lee Joon Gi's agency, Namoo Actors. He tested positive for COVID-19 after undergoing a test on April 18.
"On the morning of April 18, actor Lee Joon Gi tested positive for COVID-19," said Namoo Actors. "After finishing filming today, Lee Joon Gi showed symptoms and his health was declining. After undergoing a self-test, he was then tested for rapid antigen at the hospital and tested positive," he continued.
Management said Lee Joon Gi is currently experiencing mild symptoms such as a sore throat. He is currently undergoing self-quarantine in accordance with medical instructions. "Before undergoing activities, Lee Joon Gi always underwent rapid tests and PCR. Currently, Lee Joon Gi does not show any other symptoms except a sore throat," explained Namoo Actors.
