EXO's Baekhyun is taking legal action against the spread of hoaxes or fake news. Through his agency, INB100, Baekhyun said he had reported to the Gwangjin Police Station, Seoul for spreading false information and negative posts about the idol. The agency has also collected evidence based on reports from fans.
"We would like to provide an update on the legal action taken regarding the spread of false information and malicious posts about Baekhyun. In order to protect the rights and interests of our artist Baekhyun, we are continuously monitoring and collecting evidence based on reports from fans," the agency said, as reported by Soompi on Wednesday April 16, 2025.
"Based on the evidence gathered, on April 15, 2025, we filed an official complaint with the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul, requesting an investigation into charges such as defamation, spreading false information, insults, and sexual harassment," he continued.
The agency will continue to monitor this case. They are also ready to receive any evidence of the spread of false information. "Moving forward, we will continue to monitor malicious posts internally while thoroughly reviewing materials provided by fans.
We will collect and preserve evidence and proceed with strong legal action," they said. "Our company will take a firm stance without any leniency or settlement against malicious acts directed at our artists and staff. We will do our best to protect the rights and interests of our artists. Thank you," he concluded.
