NCT has just released their third full album titled Universe. Released on December 14, 2021, the album immediately topped the world iTunes chart. Universe is in the first position of iTunes Top Album in 30 countries, including Indonesia, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, to New Zealand.
Not only that, the album also topped the physical album charts of Hanteo, Synnara Record, Hottracks, and Kyobo Book Center. Album Universe also received the title of Platinum Album after selling more than 1 million Yuan on QQ Music. NCT's latest album also managed to top the Digital Album Sales and Music Video Chart for the South Korean category on QQ MUSIC. NCT also showed fantastic pre-order numbers for the album Universe.
SM Entertainment reported that the album was pre-ordered for more than 1.7 million units as of December 13, the day before its release. This made NCT again get the Million Seller predicate through fantastic sales figures. This is the second time that NCT has achieved more than a million pre-orders after previously releasing the album Resonance.
Universe album consists of 13 songs. Namely, New Axis, Earthquake, OK!, Birthday Party, Know Know, Dreaming, Round&Round, Miracle, Vroom, Sweet Dream, Good Night, Beautiful, and Universe (Let's Play Ball). The song Earthquake is sung by NCT 127, Dreaming is sung by NCT Dream , and Miracle is sung by WayV.
The three songs have also been released in the form of video tracks. Beautiful and Universe (Let's Play Ball) are the main songs with contrasting nuances. Universe (Let's Play Ball) is a pre-release song that was shared in advance on December 10. While Beautiful became the second main song on the Universe album which was officially released on December 14.
