Adapting kdramastarz, Song Joong Ki's latest South Korean drama 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate' became a hot topic of conversation after a still cut photo depicting Song Joong Ki's character was posted by a netizen on Twitter. Based on the photos circulating online, Song Joong Ki looks dashing in a slim suit and tie and wears classic glasses.
Netizens also discovered the remarkable resemblance of Song Joong Ki's new character in this drama to characters from other dramas. Netizens stated that Song Joong Ki's style in 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate' reminded them of the iconic style of Joo Dan Tae played by Uhm Ki Joon in the trilogy drama 'The Penthouse .'
Seeing the resemblance, a fan even made a funny comment saying that Song Joong Ki's new character has a ' Vincenzo ' face except for the Joo Dan Tae outfit he is wearing. The series 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate' itself is directed by Jeong Dae Yun and written by drama writer Kim Tae Hee.
This drama is adapted from a web novel of the same name which depicts the story of a loyal employee who is betrayed by his conglomerate boss. In the drama, Song Joong Ki takes on the role of Yoon Hyun Woo who works for Jin Yang Chul, the CEO of Soonyang Conglomerate, for more than 10 years.
Despite his loyalty to his boss, he is accused of embezzlement and is killed by the boss's youngest son, Jin Do Joon. Interestingly, his fate changed after Yoon Hyun Woo found himself inside Jin Do Joon's body. With that opportunity, he intends to take revenge and plans to take over the company.
Besides Song Joong Ki, this drama also stars Lee Sung Min, Shin Hyun Bin, Girls' Generation's Tiffany, Kim Nam Hee, and Song Joong Ki's co-star in the drama 'Vincenzo' Jo Han Chul. The JTBC drama 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate' began filming from September 2021 to April 2022 and is set to premiere in October this year.
