(G)-IDLE finally made a comeback by releasing an album titled I love. The song Nxde was chosen as the main song being promoted. Before the official album was released, (G)-IDLE held an online showcase. They introduced the songs in the album, and the big themes taken. As the title suggests, the album I love is an album with the theme of love.
According to Soyeon, this album talks about various kinds of love. "Our new album, I love, is really a song about love. This album talks about various kinds of love, and various emotions. Along the way, we want to show the process of finding true love," said Soyeon. "True love that we finally found is love for ourselves and being loved for who we are.
That's why the first song on this album is Nxde," he continued. Another thing that makes I love is the album that is unique because the numbering of the songs on the album is reversed. Instead of being ordered from one to six, the songs in it are ordered the other way around. "The sequence is not from the sixth song, but the story starts from the sixth song and continues.
If the sixth song describes someone who falls in love for the first time, the process starts from six and continues to the second song, and then ends up being the person in the first song," explained Soyeon. "We hope that listeners can follow the sequence. We ask fans to listen in accordance with the order that has been determined," he continued.
I love was released after (G)-IDLE's success through TOMBOY. The members admitted that they felt quite pressured for the latest release, but that pressure turned into motivation. "Honestly the pressure is always there. But I think the pressure motivates us to keep working hard and making good music. This is a blessing," added Soyeon.
"We worked hard with fun pressure. So instead of worrying about the success of this album, we focused on what stories we had to tell through this album," he concluded. (G)-IDLE 's newest album , I love has now been released and can be listened to on a number of streaming platforms. The MV for the title song Nxde has also been released on YouTube.
