BTS's Jungkook was chosen to be one of the musicians who performed the theme song for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. He also appeared at the opening ceremony and made history as the first K-Pop musician to be asked to perform at the event. The theme song for the 2022 Qatar World Cup sung by Jungkook is titled Dreamers. 

The song was released on November 29, 2022, hours before her performance at the opening ceremony was broadcast worldwide. Shortly after its release, Dreamers immediately topped the iTunes charts around the world. In just 13 hours after it was released, the song sung by Jungkook won first place in 102 countries, including the United States, France, Britain, Canada, to Germany.

Dreamers also set a record as the world cup theme song for the fastest first position on the iTunes Top Songs chart in the United States. Jungkook achieved this record in just 2 hours and 11 minutes. Previously, Jungkook 's appearance at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Qatar World Cup received extraordinary applause from fans and football lovers. 

Many praised the Dreamers song, even to the point of becoming a trending topic on Twitter. Jungkook's involvement in the opening event is part of BTS' collaboration with Hyundai Motor. Previously, Hyundai Motor appointed BTS as members of Team Century, global brand ambassadors for the Hyundai Motor Company. 

They created a campaign called Goal of the Century to commemorate the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Through this campaign, Hyundai Motor hopes to become a leader in realizing carbon neutrality at the 2022 World Cup. They also hope to create a sustainable world with the world's people through football.
