On Tuesday 31 January 2023, industry insiders shared the news that actor Song Duk-Ho has suddenly stepped down from the new drama he is currently starring in, 'Beneficial Fraud' (original title). Launching from Soompi, Tuesday January 31, 2023 that his withdrawal from the role in the drama was revealed due to problems related to military service.

Regarding the report, Song Duk Ho 's agency Bistus Entertainment shared an official statement and confirmed the actor's involvement in the military evasion. The statement read, " Song Duk-Ho was searching the Internet for information to postpone his military enlistment around last summer. 

After receiving a consultation through someone's blog (referred to as "A"), he made a wrong decision and ended up receiving a Grade 4 military assessment. (get non-active duty) as a public service worker." Then his agency stated the actor's decision was wrong, Bistust Entertainment said, " By illegal means he delayed his enlistment, which was his original goal ." 

The agency also stated, " Song Duk-Ho is currently undergoing police investigation. He will be active and cooperative in the prosecution investigation. " The agency expressed regret, saying, " We are deeply reflecting on this incident and sincerely apologize to the many disappointed people. ."

A source from Studio Dragon, which is the production company for “Beneficial Fraud,” commented, “ The selection for Song Duk-Ho's successor is currently ongoing, and there are no disruptions to schedules. ” The drama tells a story of revenge about a con man, who lacks empathy, and a lawyer, who is empathetic by nature, as they team up to form an unlikely alliance to fight crime.

Song Duk Ho made his debut through the movie 'Burning' in 2018 when he was 28 years old and is actively appearing on both the big and small screens. He has recently been actively starring in various dramas such as 'Missing: The Other Side 2', 'Cheer Up', 'May I Help You?', 'Link: Eat, Love, Kill, and 'Juvenile Justice'. As well as he has also starred in movies like 'Happy Together' and 'Sunset In My Hometown'.
