Sad news has come again from one of the K-Pop idol girl groups, namely MOMOLAND, who officially announced the disbandment of the group after their career for almost seven years. Quoting from Soompi on February 15, 2023, through posts on social media accounts, the six members of MOMOLAND said farewell to their fans by announcing the official dissolution of the group after their contract with the agency expired.
The following is the contents of the MOMOLAND dissolution letter shared by the members, namely Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy. "First of all, we sincerely apologize to Merries (MOMOLAND fans) who found out about this news through an article.
We apologize for being late in informing you," said the MOMOLAND members. They continued, "After long discussions, the six of us decided to support each other to take new steps and move forward. Even though we have decided to choose our own paths and dreams, we MOMOLAND will still be one team."
"We sincerely thank our fans who have given us many beautiful memories and support by always being by our side for the past seven years. Merries will always be our everything," he continued. "We express our deepest apologies for not being able to tell you about this earlier, but we sincerely thank every fan who has been waiting for us patiently," added MOMOLAND.
MOMOLAND closed their farewell letter to fans by asking for support and love for all the members who will be pursuing their careers separately from now on. Meanwhile, last month, the MLD Entertainment agency announced that the six MOMOLAND members would leave the agency after their exclusive contracts ended.
Hearing the news of MOMOLAND's disbandment certainly made fans feel sad and lost. However, they seemed to have predicted this would happen considering that MOMOLAND had not been very active lately and the agency had not given promotion to the group. Fans hope that the six MOMOLAND members will have better careers in the future after this disbandment.
