Korean actor Song Jae Rim passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2024 at the age of 39. He was found dead at his residence in Seongdong-Gu, Seoul, around noon. Song Jae Rim's body was found by his friend who visited the Queen Woo actor's house. 

His friend intended to invite him to lunch but was shocked to find his friend dead at around 12:30 p.m. local time. He immediately reported the incident to the police. The cause of Song Jae Rim's death is still unknown. Police confirmed there was no suspicion of foul play in the incident.

However, the police said a note was found at the scene. Reported by My Daily, the note gave rise to the police's temporary suspicion that Song Jae Rim committed suicide. Song Jae Rim's body is currently lying in state at St. Mary's Hospital funeral home in Yeouido, Seoul. The funeral is planned to be held on November 14, 2024. 

Song Jae Rim will be buried at Seonghwawon in Seoul. Since his appearance in the famous MBC drama Thee Moon Embracing The Sun (2012), Song Jae Rim began to be loved by the South Korean public. His face often appears in various TV series productions.

Song Jae Rim debuted in 2009 in the film The Actresses. In his acting record, he has been involved in the production of Goodbye Mr. Black (2016), Secret Mother (2018), Cafe Minamdang (2022), and most recently Queen Woo (2024). Korean drama Queen Woo is one of the most talked about TV series. In the drama, he plays Go Pae Eui.
