WayV is currently holding a fanmeeting tour with the event title 'Fanmeeting WayV Tour Phantom' in several countries. Indonesia is one of the lucky countries that was made the destination by this SM Entertainment group. The WayV fan meeting in Indonesia was held on April 29 2023 at the BSD Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in the city of Tangerang.
Even though only five of the seven members appeared, WayV managed to entertain WayZenNi (the nickname for WayV fans) who came to attend the event. One of the successful moves to make WayV fans touched their hearts both directly and online was their action of singing one of Kaleb J 's popular Indonesian songs.
You can see Ten, Kun, Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang taking turns singing their parts to the song. WayZenNi Indonesia was made to melt because of the romantic singing of the idols. Not to mention the opportunity to witness them sing songs in Indonesian is a rare thing. The WayV fanmeeting event itself is one of the celebrations for the release of their latest album titled 'Phantom'.
WayV's Phantom album managed to sell 165,411 in its first week of release. This broke WayV's record which previously sold around 128,000 copies in the first week of the release of the 3rd mini album 'Kick Back'. Then apart from the action of singing the Indonesian song, the cuteness of the WayV members was also exhibited by Xiaojun playing the sarong on stage.
Making WayZenNi Indonesia even more excited to see it. Prior to WayV's fanmeeting in Indonesia, which sold out tickets, the group which debuted in 2019 had also held a similar event in Bangkok, Thailand and left a distinct impression on fans in that country.
Some of the fans who were moved to hear WayV sing the song It's Only Me by Caleb J actually brought up two other members who were not present at the event. They said that it would be more fun if Winwin and Lucas were at the fan meeting. Hopefully in the future the hopes of WayZenNi to see WayV perform with complete members come true!
