Shocking news came from 2PM's Lee Junho on March 20, 2025. The agency JYP Entertainment announced that its exclusive contract with the idol actor born in 1990 will end on April 15, 2025. After a long discussion, both parties agreed not to renew it.
JYP then reminisced about Junho's 17-year journey since his debut with 2PM in 2008, acknowledging his dedication and success in music and acting. "Since his debut in 2008 as a member of 2PM, Lee Junho has devoted himself wholeheartedly to his singing and acting careers, achieving tremendous success in each field.
Based on deep mutual trust, we have renewed our contract several times and shared the artist's glorious seasons together," JYP said. "We sincerely thank Lee Junho for accompanying us on our journey and contributing to the company's growth for the past 17 years," the agency continued.
JYP then expressed its deepest gratitude to fans for their continued support for Junho. JYP also included Junho's statement regarding his decision to leave the agency that made his name. The "King the Land" drama star expressed his gratitude for the support he has received over the years.
Junho further revealed, "I will cherish the connections I have built and the encouragement I have received as I move forward." Despite his eventual departure, JYP is apparently still not completely letting go of the actor. JYP Entertainment reiterated its continued support for Junho in his future endeavors.
