Member of the girl group IVE, Rei is known to be on hiatus due to his declining health condition some time ago. To treat fans' longing for Rei's absence from group activities, the Starship Entertainment agency launched a new YouTube channel and presented content featuring Rei.
Quoting from Allkpop on Friday May 5, 2023, new content titled 'Rei Tries Stuff Out' will contain Rei's activities in trying new things, as well as carrying out other exciting activities, such as inviting fans to join him. The first episode or episode '0' of the 'Rei Tries Stuff Out' program will begin on May 11, 2023, starting at 19.00 KST.
Meanwhile, fans are welcoming Rei's new content with the hope that the idol will soon come back from his hiatus and be able to greet fans in person again. Even so, fans also believe that Rei's latest content was recorded before the idol officially announced a hiatus from all of his scheduled activities.

Meanwhile, Starship Entertainment previously announced that Rei would be on hiatus from all of his scheduled activities on April 11, 2023. Rei was also forced to be absent from IVE's first full album comeback promotion activity titled 'I've IVE' which was released on April 10, 2023.
