Not only famous as talented musicians, the boy group NCT from South Korea is currently also loved because of their talent in the fashion sector. One of the NCT members, Doyoung, was officially appointed as the newest brand ambassador of the fashion brand from Milan, Dolce & Gabbana. Doyoung's selection was announced directly by ELLE Japan and Vogue Japan on May 9 via their official Instagram.
"I am very happy and excited to be part of the Dolce & Gabbana family. I feel a strong connection exists between these brands and I will create great synergies in the future. I am very excited about what I will create with Dolce & Gabbana," said Doyoung in the latest video upload on Instagram ELLE Japan.
This announcement was also followed by a video of Doyoung looking good wearing several Dolce & Gabbana collections which were uploaded via a short YouTube video on the Numero Tokyo account. Dolce & Gabbana appointed Doyoung as their first brand ambassador in Korea and Japan due to his popularity as a famous musician and K-pop star of NCT.
Especially on April 17, he just made his latest debut with NCT's Jaehyun and Jungwoo with a unit group called DoJaeJung and released the song 'Parfume' which made his name skyrocket on the international stage. Having been present several times at luxury events from Dolce & Gabbana, this new news from Doyoung is certainly quite surprising among his fans, who are usually called NCTzens.
Fans then shouted their happiness and enthusiasm through the hashtag #DGxDoyoung which became the number 1 trending topic on Twitter since the information was officially announced. Doyoung as the newest brand ambassador will promote Dolce & Gabbana in Korea and Japan starting earlier this month.
Dolce & Gabbana also emphasized in particular that music and musicians have always been an inspiration for the fashion brand. Previously, several other members of NCT had also become brand ambassadors for well-known fashion brands . Like Jaehyun with Prada, Jaemin with Fendi, Jeno with Ferragamo, Mark with Polo, and Taeyong with Puma.
