NCT's Doyoung will be making his debut as an actor. On, Monday, November 2, 2021, it was reported that Doyoung will play the lead role in MBC's upcoming Korean drama, The Curious Stalker. SM Entertainment as an agency confirmed the news.
Citing Spotvnews on the same day, Doyoung will play the protagonist. The Curious Stalker is the third season of the drama series Midnight Cafe. This fantasy drama tells the story of life in a café located in Busan. The café is open from midnight to early morning, but it is not visible on the map.
In web-drama format, there are four episodes that are 15 minutes long. Doyoung will play an 18-year-old high school boy who gets a miracle to see the future. Meanwhile, Doyoung became the third NCT member to pursue acting after Jaemin and Jaehyun.
During this time Doyoung has been active as a music show presenter and displays her singing skills on stage. Doyoung is also known to have an older brother an actor, Gong Myung. Her brother actively starred in various drama and film projects such as Be Melodramatic, Revolutionary Love, and Extreme Job.
