Park Bo Gum is reportedly considering making his debut in a musical drama titled " Let Me Fly " in September. Reporting from the Soompi media on Tuesday July 4, 2023, news about one of the Reply 1988 players emerged after reports from industry representatives reported that Park Bo Gum was discussing an offer to star in the musical.
In response to the news circulating, an official from the investment and distribution company for the musical "Let Me Fly" also commented, stating that there has been no official confirmation regarding the casting process for the project currently being worked on.
“No confirmation has been made regarding casting for 'Let me fly,'” he revealed as reported by media outlet Soompi. Although it has not been given definite clarity, THEBLACKLABEL as the agency that oversees Park Bo Gum actually gives a positive signal to fans regarding the actor's appearance in the musical.
THEBLACKLABEL stated that the 30-year-old is in special talks for a role in "Let Me Fly". "Park Bo Gum is positively in talks to star in "Let Me Fly," said THEBLACKLABEL as reported by Soompi. The musical drama "Let Me Fly" itself presents a story about a person named Nam Won who lives in 1969.
One day, Nam Won travels to 2020 which makes him struggle to return to the past to meet his sweetheart, Jung Boon. "Let Me Fly" is scheduled to perform 100 times from September 26 to December 10, 2023 at YES24 Stage, Seoul, South Korea. The selected players will later visit audiences throughout South Korea starting from Busan, Anyang, and others.
Meanwhile, contributing to a musical is not the first for Park Bo Gum. The actor is reported to have graduated from the music performance department in the Film & Music department of Myongji University. He also participated as the music director for the musical "Hairspray" which was shown in 2017.
