1. Joined SM Entertainment while still in school
The man who is often called TY started his career as an idol when he met one of the SM Entertainment staff in front of his school in 2012. Taeyong then joined one of the biggest agencies in South Korea through the SM Casting System before being introduced to the public as SM Rookies in December 2013.
2. First solo debut in 2019
Known for having a myriad of brilliant talents since joining NCT, Taeyong in 2019 was entrusted with making his solo debut by releasing a song titled "Love Flight". In his first solo project, Taeyong fully participated in writing songs and making MVs. Shortly after its release, "Love Flight" achieved success by topping the 6th position on the Billboard charts in the World Digital Song Sales category.
3. Debut again in group SuperM
In mid-2019, SM Entertainment announced plans to form a new unit called SuperM. The new group consists of several SM Entertainment groups, including NCT, TVXQ, SHinee, and EXO. Lee Taeyong was chosen as a member of SuperM along with Mark, Lucas, Ten, Taemin, Kai, and Baekhyun.
Collaborating with Capital Records, the group focuses on the US music market. Right in October, SuperM released their first EP, titled SuperM. In SuperM's first debut, Taeyong again contributed by producing a song titled "No Manners".
4. Have a desire to open a bakery
Apart from being talented in the world of music, Taeyong NCT has other talents that are very much different. The man born in 1995 turned out to have a talent for cooking. While doing a live broadcast with fans via V-Live, Taeyong expressed his desire to open a bakery if he didn't become an idol.
