South Korean actor Im Siwan successfully stole the attention of drama lovers with his stunning acting in the Korean drama ' Boyhood '. Thanks to his appearance, the drama 'Boyhood' has reportedly confirmed the continuation of season 2 .

Quoting from Allkpop on Tuesday January 9, 2024, news outlet OSEN reported that the production team for the drama 'Boyhood' has confirmed the broadcast of season 2, and is currently working on the script. The second season will feature a more in-depth and quality script.

Even though season 2 of the drama has been confirmed, details regarding the storyline have not yet been revealed to the players. Including Im Siwan and Lee Sun Bin. Season 2 could show the continuation of Jang Byung Tae's (Im Siwan) life after winning the final battle against the White Tiger of Asan, Jung Kyung Tae (Lee Si Woo).

Or it could show the background story of the Black Spider, Park Ji Young (Lee Sun Bin), which has never been told before in season 1. Alternatively, a prequel covering the previous timeline is also being considered. Currently, the script for season 2 has not been completed.

'Boyhood', which began filming in June last year and shot for three months, met viewers in November after only two months of post-production. Considering director Lee Myung Woo's quick work and the fact that the OTT platform has been decided as Coupang Play, season 2 will probably be released as early as this year.

Meanwhile, 'Boyhood' written by Kim Jae Hwan and directed by Lee Myung Woo is a comic action drama set in 1989 in Chungcheongnam-do. This drama tells the story of Onyang's loser, Byung Tae (played by Im Si Wan), whose purpose in life is to avoid trouble. However, suddenly turned into the top person in Buyeo overnight. The popularity of this drama can be seen from the sharp rise in numbers.

After being released via Coupang Play on November 24 last year, the drama quickly gained popularity, increasing viewership by 2914% by the end of its broadcast. Even now, several months after its release, 'Boyhood' continues to rank as the number one popular work on Coupang Play for seven consecutive times.
