Hong Min Gi has been embroiled in controversy over his relationship with his ex-girlfriend. Not only was their relationship revealed, but the Korean actor was accused of violence and even asking his ex to abort a pregnancy.
The "Study Group" actor's agency immediately denied the allegations, and then responded with a series of photos they claimed were proof. The issue began when a woman identified as Miss A accused Hong Min Gi of violence during their relationship in April 2026.
She claimed she was subjected to harsh treatment, including being choked, threatened, and having a soju bottle thrown at her. Hong Min Gi's agency, Fable Company, then firmly denied the accusations and stated their readiness to take legal action.
Shortly after Hong's agency issued its initial response, Ms. A re-uploaded her evidence. She included photos allegedly showing physical injuries, obstetric and gynecological records, ultrasound scans, and conversations describing their situation.
Previously, Ms. A also stated that she was a victim of verbal abuse. The "To My Beloved Thief" actor was accused of gaslighting her by pressuring her to have an abortion. Ms. A stated that she was once pregnant with Hong Min Gi's child and had an abortion.
She reportedly went to a gynecologist herself before ultimately ending her relationship with Min Gi. "There is no longer any point in reconciling with Hong Min-gi's agency, which is trying to paint me as a stalker, or with Hong Min Gi himself, who has shown no remorse whatsoever.
I will respond to this through a lawyer and legal channels," he wrote. Fable Company then issued a new denial. The agency stated that Ms. A sent Hong Min Gi a photo of the ultrasound scan around 6:00 a.m. on August 19, 2026, accompanied by a message threatening to reveal further information.
The agency also stated that Ms. A had never shown Min Gi an ultrasound image or pregnancy test results before. The company questioned whether the ultrasound image could be considered proof of pregnancy, requesting professional medical verification.
Fable Company further denied that Hong Min Gi ever pressured Ms. A to have an abortion. They then highlighted the communication that took place on July 13th. "On July 13, 2026, the day she admitted to having an abortion, she invited Hong Min Gi to go cycling with her.
After Hong Min Gi refused, she sent him a video of herself cycling alone," her agency revealed on Thursday. "We have secured and preserved all recordings of the conversation and the video."
The agency continued, "Pregnancy and abortion are very sensitive and serious matters, but she posted completely false claims on social media, stating that Hong Min Gi pressured her to have an abortion after learning about the pregnancy," the agency wrote.
Fable Company has now accused Ms. A of making false statements that have seriously tarnished their actor's reputation. The agency stated that it will stop responding publicly to any accusations and will pursue both civil and criminal legal action.
They also asked the public not to speculate or spread unverified claims while the dispute is under investigation. Meanwhile, Ms. A intends to pursue legal action and has indicated she has additional evidence.
