South Korean actor, Song Joong Ki received the latest Korean drama offer after getting married and welcoming the birth of his first child. As is known, the actor last appeared in the Korean drama Reborn Rich in 2022.
According to the OLSEN report today, Thursday January 18, 2024, Song Joong Ki is targeted to be the main player in the Korean drama MY YOUTH. The drama is a production of his agency, HighZium Studio. Following the OLSEN report, HighZium Studio confirmed that Song Joong Ki was considering the offer.
"Song Joong Ki received an offer to star in the new drama, MY YOUTH and he is considering the offer," said a statement from HighZium Studio, as reported by Soompi. If he accepts the offer to star in the Korean drama MY YOUTH, Song Joong Ki will appear on the television screen after two years.
After the birth of his first child, Song Joong Ki focused on promoting the film Hopeless, which was also produced by HigZium Studio. She attended the 2023 Busan International Film Festival for the premiere of Hopeless alongside co-stars Hong Xabin, BIBI, and director Kim Chang Hoon.
The 38-year-old actor even decided to appear in the film Hopeless without payment to support the artistic quality of the film. According to him, the expensive fees will eat up a lot of the budget. "If I get paid, my appearance fee is too expensive, so it takes up a lot of the budget.
A big budget doesn't suit this film," said Song Joong Ki in an interview with MyDaily. For his appearance in the Korean drama Reborn Rich, Song Joong Ki received a payment of 300 million won or around Rp. 3.5 billion per episode. With 16 episodes of Reborn Rich, the total payout is now 4.8 billion won.
