Taylor Swift's name has reappeared in the X or Twitter search column after being blocked in the case of Artificial Intelligence (AI) editing pornographic photos that resembled her. This news was confirmed by Head of Business Operations

"Search access for (name) Taylor Swift in the application has been reactivated and we will continue to be vigilant regarding the steps in spreading this content, and will immediately delete it wherever we find it," said Benarroch, reported by Variety, quoted on Wednesday January 31, 2024.

The case of Taylor Swift's missing name in search for X has been going on since last weekend, Saturday January 27, 2024. However, a number of fans said that X's actions only blocked Taylor Swift's name. Meanwhile, the keyword "Taylor AI Swift" can still be searched for in the search column.

Joe Benarroch stated that this action was only temporary and would be carried out very carefully because his party prioritized the safety threatened by this problem. AI-generated pornographic content began to spread in cyberspace since last Wednesday January 24, 2024, which was immediately blocked by the public until the uploader's account was suspended.

Meanwhile, the actors' union SAG-AFTRA also spoke out in a statement released on Friday January 26, 2024. According to them, this image is disturbing, dangerous and very worrying content. "The development and distribution of false images – especially those of an obscene nature – without their consent should be considered illegal," said SAG-AFTRA in its official statement.

The US government is even considering this issue. According to Variety, President Joe Biden is said to be supporting legislation regarding AI pornographic content. This was also expressed by White House spokesperson, Karine Jean-Pierre, who expressed the US government's concern over the circulation of illegal AI images.

“We are concerned about reports of the circulation of the images you just mentioned. "Of course there must be a law to overcome this problem," they continued. In a post on January 25, 2024, the X Security team said that their company was “actively removing” all identified illegal AI content, which they said was “strictly prohibited” from being shared on the platform.
