It was revealed that actor Yoo Ah In would be returning to the big screen with his latest film titled 'Vampire'. The film is directed by Jang Jae Hyun, who is known for his previous works in the occult genre such as 'The Priests', 'Svaha: The Sixth Finger', and 'Exhuma'.
In this film, Yoo Ah In plays a vampire hunter who teams up with a priest and people involved in the conflict against vampires. The film 'Vampire' is scheduled to begin pre-production soon, with filming expected to begin in October 2026.
In addition to Yoo Ah In, actor Lee Sung Min has also reportedly joined the project as a priest, while Yoon Kyung Ho completes the increasingly exciting cast. Responding to the report, a representative for the film's investor and distributor, NEW, confirmed that nothing has been confirmed yet.
"Nothing has been confirmed at this time. We are coordinating with various actors, including those already mentioned. We will provide further information once the final cast is finalized," the representative said.
It's interesting to note that, back in December 2025, when speculation about Yoo Ah In's involvement in the film was circulating, director Jang Jae Hyun denied the rumors, stating that the information was "completely untrue."
He emphasized that the film's script was not yet complete, and that although he had contacted Yoo Ah In to inquire about his situation, he had not yet officially offered the actor the role.
If this news is true, 'Vampire' will be Yoo Ah In's first new acting project in nearly four years after he took a hiatus due to his involvement in a drug-related case in 2022. This is certainly a moment that fans and the Korean film industry have been waiting for.
