Nam Joo Hyuk finally greets fans through his screen appearance in Netflix's latest drama. The drama is entitled ' The East Palace ' which will feature the main genre of action which will be wrapped in horror and fantasy.
This Korean drama will also feature a historical or sageuk genre that will only have a broadcast duration of 8 episodes. In this drama, Nam Joo Hyuk will play opposite Roh Yoon Seo as the main character who will come into contact with the ghost world.
Netflix will also bring in star actor Cho Seung Woo to complete the main cast of this horror action drama. This drama marks Nam Joo Hyuk's first comeback after completing his mandatory military service on September 19, 2024. The last Korean drama he starred in before his military service was 'Vigilante' in 2023 which was produced by Netflix.
'The East Palace' tells the story of a man named Gu Cheon who can explore the ghost world and a palace maid named Saeng Gang who has the ability to hear ghosts. This drama will be set in the Kingdom era where Gu Cheon and Saeng Gang are assigned by the King to uncover the secrets of the cursed palace.
Nam Joo Hyuk will play a character named Gu Cheon who has the ability to explore the ghost world. Roh Yoon Seo will play a character named Saeng Gang, a palace maid who has the ability to hear ghosts.
Meanwhile, Cho Seung Woo will play the role of the King who asks for help from Gu Cheon and Saeng Gang to uncover the secret of the cursed palace. The Korean drama 'The East Palace' will be premiered by the Netflix production team on July 17, 2026.
