NCT's Doyoung and Haechan are back with the latest episode of their newest food and talk program titled ' Eat 2 U '. Successfully introducing the concept of the 'Eat 2 U' program in episode 0 last week, in their first episode this time, the two of them invited a special guest star, namely NCT's Taeyong.
Quoting from the NCT YouTube channel on Sunday March 10, 2024, Taeyong became the first guest star on the 'Eat 2 U' program following his solo comeback via the second mini album 'TAP' which was officially released on February 28, 2024.
Episode 1 of 'Eat 2 U' takes place at a sushi restaurant in Osaka, Japan, called Sushi Yokoda. This place was chosen because of Taeyong's request who wanted to enjoy Omakase dishes, and Sushi Yokoda is also a restaurant with a one Michelin star rating. Entering the restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere, they immediately ordered one of the signature dish packages consisting of several menus.
Starting from appetizers, sashimi, soup, salmon eggs & sea urchin eggs, 4 pieces of sushi, Japanese style steamed eggs, tempura, eel fish soup, abalone sauce, 3 pieces of sushi, sea urchin sushi, steamed eggs, miso soup, and dessert seasonal and matcha. Taeyong appeared casually as a guest star, and the event started by enjoying beer together.
In particular, Doyoung and Haechan tried to give interviews and discuss Taeyong's latest album in depth, while enjoying the food served. In one of the questions, Taeyong revealed the concept of the song 'TAP' where he wanted to convey a flirting and bad guy impression in the song. Which was immediately met with the question “Are you a bad guy?” by Doyoung.
Taeyong then said, "I'm not a bad guy." He also admitted that he was a loving and innocent man. Furthermore, Taeyong called his latest album 'TAP' an illustration of the growth of his musical work as he becomes more mature and experienced. Different from the previous album which he wrote in the early stages of his career.
To congratulate Taeyong on the release of Taeyong's latest album, Doyoung and Haechan also gave gifts in the form of the NCT 127 leader's favorite drinks and snacks . Enjoying all the dishes with satisfaction, episode 1 'Eat 2 U' closed by choosing their favorite menu and assessing the restaurant they visited. Meanwhile, 'Eat 2 U' will return with the next episode with new guest stars of course.
