HYBE's subsidiary, Binary Korea, announced on June 10 that it has developed Korea's first creator fandom platform, 'THEUS'. The platform, which will officially launch on June 22, 2024, is intended to be 'a space where creators and fans become us (US)'.
Binary Korea is developing application services, and digital entertainment company Sandbox Network is responsible for operations management, including content creator store management, and is establishing joint business.
Binary Korea and Sandbox Network previously agreed to create a fandom platform for content creators such as YouTubers and TikTokers as well as their fans in October last year, and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
Binary Korea has been beta testing since last March before the official launch of THEUS. Currently THEUS has creators such as Dottie, Yell Unnie, Ttoto Couple, Anunu, Angjjing, Jongji Couple, Inssa Family, and Jo Jae-won.
Even before the launch, more than 20,000 users had already registered. Prior to launch, creators from more than 10 teams, including Cheese Film, 1 Minute Man, and CEO Shin, will join.
Kim Seong Min, CEO of Binary Korea, announced, “THEUS is a fandom platform for content creators. In addition to the current team of 20 content creators, more creators plan to continue entering the store, and we plan to update new features based on feedback from creators.”
