Song Joong Ki will make a special appearance or cameo in Netflix's latest rom-com series entitled ' Romantics Anonymous ', starring Han Hyo Joo and Oguri Shun. Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday June 12, 2024, it was reported that Song Joong Ki had just finished filming for 'Romantics Anonymous' in Japan.
Responding to this report, HighZium Studio as Song Joong Ki's agency said, "Song Joong Ki will make a special appearance in the Japanese Netflix drama 'Romantics Anonymous', starring Han Hyo Joo and Oguri Shun." The series 'Romantics Anonymous' is based on the French film 'Les Émotifs anonymes'.
The series tells the love story of a chocolatier who suffers from social anxiety while she works in a small chocolate shop. Han Hyo Joo plays Hana Lee, a skilled chocolatier who hides her identity because of her fear of social interactions, while Oguri Shun plays Sosuke Fujiwara, the new owner of a popular chocolate shop with a traumatic past.
Apart from that, there is also Yuri Nakamura who plays Irene, a prominent psychologist and writer who is Sosuke's doctor and Hana's counselor. Despite her professional accomplishments, Irene grapples with her own struggles.
Lastly, Jin Akanishi joins as Hiro Takada, a bar owner who secretly harbors feelings for Hana. He has been friends with Sosuke since he was at school. This series is directed by director Shô Tsukikawa, who was previously successful with his works 'Let Me Eat Your Pancreas' and 'The 100th Love With You'.
The special appearance of Song Joong Ki will add to the appeal of the series. It is not yet known what character Song Joong Ki will play as a cameo. Song Joong Ki recently also made a special appearance on the small screen through a cameo role in the drama 'Queen of Tears'.
Even though he only appeared for a limited duration, Song Joong Ki still hypnotized the audience with his extraordinary charm and charisma. Meanwhile, 'Romantics Anonymous' is scheduled to be released worldwide via Netflix in 2025. Stay tuned for further information!
