South Korean actor, Kim Woo Bin will soon appear in the Netflix original film titled ' Officer Black Belt '. In the film he plays the main character named Lee Sang Do. Initially he was just an ordinary young man who worked as a delivery man for a chicken restaurant.
But his life changed after he was assigned to become a martial arts officer. This happened when he helped a martial artist who was attacked by prisoners on probation. They were allowed to return to society but had to wear electronic ankle bracelets to prevent crime. The martial arts officer who was attacked then suffered injuries that left him unable to work.
Because of his skills, Lee Sang Do was sent to replace him for 5 weeks. Lee Sang Do's character is someone with expert skills for the 9th level of martial arts in Taekwondo, Kendo, and Judo. Interestingly, Kim Woo Bin certainly had to work hard to master these martial arts.
Quoting Xport News on Monday September 9, 2024 Kim Woo Bin said, " In the process I met and listened to real martial arts practitioners, I learned that they do great things that we don't know about. " Kim Woo Bin admitted to studying three martial arts at the same time, namely Taekwondo, Judo, and Kendo. He continued to practice and coordinate the action sequences with a director for martial arts movements.
He tried hard to perfectly depict a 9th-level martial arts expert. In addition, he said, " Lee Jeong Do, an ordinary young man who only pursues pleasure, changes when he encounters a job as a martial arts practitioner, and the emotions and thoughts he experiences in the process are very impressive, " raising viewers' expectations to like the character played by Kim Woo Bin.
Regarding his character's duties in the film, Kim Woo Bin said, " The martial arts officers closely monitor the recipients of the electronic ankle bracelets 24 hours a day to prevent a second victim from occurring. " " In an emergency, he is an employee of the Ministry of Justice with a level 3 or higher in martial arts to subdue criminals, " Kim Woo Bin explained the job of a martial arts officer that people rarely know about.
