Liam Payne, former member of One Direction died at the age of 31 on Wednesday October 16, 2024. Liam reportedly fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, just hours after posting his last photo with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. Hours before the tragic incident, Liam posted a photo on Snapchat with Kate Cassidy.

In the photo, the two are seen casually wearing swimsuits while posing in front of a mirror. Liam is seen wearing black shorts and a white baseball cap worn backwards, while Kate appears in a black bikini with a woven visor hat and sunglasses. Although the photo was posted on October 16, 2024, it turns out that Kate had left Argentina the day before.

In a TikTok video, Kate revealed that she had been back in Florida since October 14, 2024. "We were only planning on being there for five days, but we ended up staying two weeks," Kate said in the video. Kate and Liam were in Argentina to attend Niall Horan's concert on October 2, 2024.

Liam captured the happy moment on Snapchat, showing clips of them dancing, enjoying sushi, and taking the time to greet fans. The two have been in a relationship for almost two years, and on various occasions, Kate has said that she has been a fan of Liam and One Direction since she was a child.

In a TikTok post in 2023, Kate revealed that she had once manifested a meeting with Liam. "I drew this when I was 10," she said, holding up a popsicle stick with a picture of a brown-haired man she named 'Liam.' In the video, Kate laughs as she shows Liam lying in his childhood bedroom. Liam then joked as he hugged Kate: "Be careful what you wish for."

Liam has previously been open about his struggles with alcoholism and mental health issues. Last year, he spent 100 days in rehab in Louisiana to recover. "I needed some time to myself, because I was starting to feel like I wasn't someone I recognized," Liam said in a YouTube video. "I was angry about a lot of things and took it out on other people, and that was wrong," he added.
