MBC's latest drama When the Phone Rings shared photos of Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin who were married for unclear reasons when they received a threatening phone call. Yoo Yeon Seok plays Baek Sa Eon, the youngest spokesman of the Blue House (South Korea's Presidential Palace), who seems to have it all, background, looks, and talent.

Meanwhile, Chae Soo Bin plays his wife, Hong Hee Joo, a sign language interpreter who lost her ability to speak after a childhood accident. The released photos show different moments between Baek Sa Eon and Hong Hee Joo as an arranged marriage couple.

Instead of the usual excitement of the bride and groom before their wedding, a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere is seen between them. In another photo, Sa Eon and Hee Joo, dressed in formal attire, exchange meaningful glances before looking at something off-camera while leaning against each other.

Sa Eon is portrayed as someone who maintains a clean image through strict self-discipline, while Hee Joo does the bare minimum to keep up appearances and has no hopes or expectations for her marriage. Even though they live without talking to each other, one phone call will disrupt their relationship.

The two characters work together in communication, Sa Eon as the presidential spokesman and Hee Joo as a sign language interpreter, but they cannot communicate with each other. This dynamic will not only reveal the facade of their arranged marriage but also a deeper romance. Viewers are eager to see how Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin will direct the story. Meanwhile, When the Phone Rings will air in November 2024.
