Niall Horan spoke out about the death of Liam Payne in Argentina on Wednesday October 16, 2024, through a post on social media. The musician uploaded a photo of himself holding Liam when the two were still active in the boyband One Direction. Niall also included an open letter containing condolences and praise for his bandmate.

"I am devastated by the passing of my amazing friend, Liam. It feels so surreal," Nia wrote on Instagram @niallhoran on Friday October 18, 2024. "Liam had an energy for life and a passion for his work that was infectious. He was the brightest of the bunch, always making everyone feel happy and comfortable," he continued.

Niall never fails to reminisce about moments together with Liam Payne, which often come to mind even though they have long pursued their own careers. "All the laughter we've had over the years, sometimes about simple things, often comes to mind in the midst of sadness," Niall said.

"We got the chance to live out our craziest dreams, and I'll cherish those moments forever." Niall also expressed his gratitude for being able to interact with Liam for the last time at the Niall Horan concert held in Argentina a few days before Liam Payne's death. However, the singer of This Town also did not expect that the meeting would be the last for both of them. 

He felt heartbroken when he realized that the moment was truly the last. Niall closed his letter with condolences and support for Liam's family to be given strength during their time of grief. "Thank you for everything, Payno. I love you, brother," Niall said. Liam Payne died after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday October 16, 2024.

Liam Payne was reported to have sustained serious and fatal injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries. Another source said that the musician has been going through a crisis in his life for some time now. The British musician is said to have been trapped in a destructive life for a long time.
