Song Seung Heon recently underwent an interview session to discuss his role in the film "Hidden Face". One of the things discussed by the actor born in 1976 was the process of filming vulgar scenes (sex) for the character he plays.

Seung Heon was initially asked if he felt pressured to often do vulgar scenes in his various projects. "The same thing happened during 'Obsessed.' If this wasn't Kim Dae Woo's project, I don't think I would have agreed to it in the first place," he said.

Seung Heon further said, "The director's previous works speak for themselves. There was never nudity for the sake of nudity—it always fit the story, and he conveyed it in a way that made sense. That gave me confidence and made it easier for me to approach these scenes."

Seung Heon also revealed the process of filming his vulgar scenes in "Hidden Face". "His guidance was very clear. I've heard stories from other filming sets where the director said, 'Just do whatever, and we'll figure it out in editing,' but that never happened with him.

He set firm boundaries and didn't let anything cross the line. Thanks to him, I found the courage to work on this project," he continued. Seung Heon was also asked about the conversations he had with his co-star, Park Ji Hyun . "There wasn't much we needed to discuss between us.

As long as we conveyed what the director wanted, we were fine. He didn't give us any room to deviate," he said. Laughing, Seung Heon added, “Before filming, he brought a male assistant director to act out the scene, saying, ‘You’ll start from here to here, and finish.’ Watching it was harder than acting it out.”

Meanwhile, "Hidden Face" follows Sung Jin (Seung Heon) as he searches for his missing fiancee, Soo Yeon (Cho Yeo Jeong), but then meets his junior colleague, Mi Joo (Ji Hyun). The suspenseful film follows Soo Yeon, who was thought to have disappeared, but ends up trapped in a hidden room and uncovers a dark secret. The film will be released on November 20, 2024.
