On Tuesday November 19, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that boy group (TXT) TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Soobin would be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities during the end of the year to focus on recovering his health.
Shortly after the announcement, Soobin uploaded a handwritten letter to the Weverse application for MOA, TXT's fans. Through the letter, Soobin apologized for making fans worry about his health.
" First, just a while ago you finished promotions for our comeback amidst warm support, so I apologize to MOAs who must have been very surprised by this news ," Soobin wrote in his letter, as reported by Soompi, On Wednesday November 20, 2024.
Soobin then said that he was grateful to MOAs and other TXT members, because after debut he felt that he was growing little by little. The happy moments that continued to increase also made him feel like he was born as a cooler person.
" There were times when I felt like I wasn't in good physical condition, but because of the members and MOA, I was able to strengthen myself and persevere. Thank you!" said Soobin. Through the letter, Soobin also said that his decision to go on a temporary hiatus was taken after thinking it over deeply.
He also said that in order to be with TXT and MOA, he needed time to reorganize himself. " My heart feels heavy because I'm worried that this decision will hurt the people around me, but I talked a lot with Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Kai (TXT members).
I'm very sorry and thankful to the members who supported my decision ," said Soobin. At the end of his letter, Soobin reiterated that the happiness of his fans is his top priority. Therefore, he is worried that the news of his hiatus will worry his fans. " I will get well soon so you don't have to wait long.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, Soobin will not be following TXT's schedule while in Japan and China, including not attending the MAMA event and TXT's encore concert.
