Jeon So Min and Choi Daniel were guests on the YouTube channel M:USB on December 27, 2024. The two actors were actually promoting the drama "Sorry Not Sorry". However, during the conversation, they also discussed family issues.
So Min revealed that she and her father have similar personalities. "My father's friends told him, 'Your daughter, she's just like you when you were little.' My father and I have similar personalities," said the actress. Daniel then asked if So Min liked her father.
Surprisingly, So Min admitted that she was not actually close to her father. In fact, the actress and her father both realized that they loved each other. "I'm not close to Dad. I love him very much and I also know that he loves me, but I don't act like other daughters in this world.
I never told him that I love him or held his hand. I never held hands with him or hugged him," So Min continued. So Min also revealed the reason she is not close to her father. "Is it because your father raised you like a son? Maybe because he raised me like a friend," said the actress born in 1986.
Hearing that, Daniel asked So Min to say, "I love you" to her father. The actress waved her hand in front of the camera, but hesitated for a moment before daring to say, "I love you" to her father. After that, it was Daniel's turn to share about his mother who died when he was very young.
"My mother died when I was 4 years old. My older brother is six years older than me, and he was still in elementary school at the time," Daniel shared. Daniel shared his father's struggles raising him and his brother. "My father had to raise the two of us alone so he was always busy.
I also started living on my own at the age of 20 and started working at a young age," he said. Daniel is now trying to be more open in expressing his love for his father, because he couldn't do it before. "That's why I lost the time to express my feelings to him, but I'm trying to do it lately," she concluded.
