Han Ga In was a guest star on the TV program "You Quiz on the Block" on February 26, 2025. On that occasion, the actress born in 1982 opened up about how she raises her children from her marriage with Yeon Jung Hoon.
It is known that Han Ga In married Jung Hoon on April 26, 2005. The actress of the drama "The Moon Embracing The Sun" gave birth to their daughter named Yeon Jae Yi in 2016. She also shared her personal experiences as a parent on "You Quiz on the Block".
Now a seasoned mother, Ga In recalled a funny conversation with her eldest daughter about attending a new academy. "I told her, 'Try coming twice, and if you still feel the same, you can quit,'" she said.
"But she (my daughter) immediately replied, 'If I come twice, I will never come again!'" Han Ga In added. However, the actress also became emotional when reminiscing about her own childhood. Han Ga In then responded to the growing perception that she is an overly strict or controlling mother.
The actress tearfully shared, "My mother never once came to pick me up." "Even though I knew he wouldn't come, I always waited for him. From the outside, I looked strong, but I always felt the pressure to be smart, capable, and do everything well," continued the beautiful actress.
On the other hand, Han Ga In recently had a parenting vlog titled "Shocking 24-Hour Surveillance Camera of Actress Han Ga In (Crazy Schedule, Don't Try This at Home)" which was uploaded about 4 months ago. This decision was taken after the actress's child-rearing method reaped pros and cons.
The video, which initially garnered attention for documenting Han Ga In's daily life from morning to evening, shows the actress taking her children to school, attending meetings, and eating with her daughter in the car.
However, the video was allegedly parodied by comedian Lee Soo Ji, who imitated the busy lifestyle of "academic mothers." The video went viral again with many criticisms written for Han Ga In. The criticisms arose because the actress allegedly followed an extreme education pattern for her child.
As the controversy escalated, Ga In eventually deleted the video. The actress likely wanted to distance herself from the growing debate surrounding Korea's extreme education system and competitive parenting culture.
