Yoo Jae Suk Reveals His Experience of Being Exhausted from Work to the Point of Worrying His Wife

Yoo Jae Suk revealed his experience of being exhausted from work until his wife was worried. In a video uploaded to the DdeunDdeun YouTube channel on February 22, 2025, the National MC was seen chatting with Song Eun Yi, Go Kyung Pyo, and Mimi OH MY GIRL .

In this video, Jae Suk shares a story about what happened when he took a nap after a tiring TV show shoot. They first discuss how Kyung Pyo fell asleep while filming the tvN program "Sixth Sense: City Tour". 

Jae Suk understood Kyung Pyo's fatigue by saying, "I really understand.  I was also exhausted during the shoot. When I came home yesterday, I was so tired." Jae Suk shared that he took a nap for 2 hours straight. 

"I usually never take naps, but yesterday, I ended up sleeping for two whole hours. I got home around five, but I was so sleepy. My daughter Na-eun kept saying, 'Dad, I'm bored,' but I told her, 'Dad is too tired right now, let's take a nap together.' Eventually, she fell asleep too," he continued. 

That's when things took an unexpected turn. Jae Suk recalled, "I was in a deep sleep when suddenly, I heard 'beep beep beep' (the sound of a button), followed by someone rushing in and calling us loudly, 'Na-eun, oppa!'."

Jae Suk's wife had apparently called him many times, but he didn't pick up. "It turned out to be MY wife, Kyung-eun. As soon as she saw us, she was like, 'Why aren't you answering my calls?!'," Jae Suk said, imitating his wife's worried words.

Jae Suk then added, "When I checked my phone, I saw that there were nine missed calls. He was worried because I never took a nap all of a sudden like that." Hearing that, Eun Yi said, "That's what happens when you never change your routine. 

Maybe you should take naps more often." But Jae Suk, who is known for his strict daily schedule, proudly defends his habits. "Well, I take a nap from 6 to 8, then go to bed at 10. A routine is a routine," he said, emphasizing his commitment to structure.

Meanwhile, Jae Suk and his wife, former announcer Kyung Eun, married in 2008, and have a son and a daughter. Jae Suk is known for his disciplined lifestyle and is often referred to as the “king of routine” for his dedication to self-care and consistency.
