BLACKPINK's Lisa was a guest star on Daesung's YouTube channel on February 28, 2025. On that occasion, the idol born in 1997 shared her deep thoughts about the challenges of running her own agency. It is known that Lisa founded her independent label, LLOUD, last year.
Regarding this, Daesung asked if there were things that Lisa had just understood. "As a CEO, do you realize the things that the company used to bear?" said Daesung. Lisa honestly answered, “The production cost of music videos… is no joke.”
Daesung then discussed how BIGBANG and BLACKPINK always shoot large-scale music videos with extraordinary budgets under YG Entertainment. Daesung then asked about the filming of Lisa's "Rockstar" music video, mentioning that he was informed that his junior rented a street for filming. Lisa clarified, "We didn't actually rent it."
Lisa revealed that her team deliberately took the photos during quiet hours. "We went there at dawn, and luckily, the rain had just stopped. The ground was wet and reflected the light, and because there was no one around, the video turned out great," Lisa said.
Lisa further explained, “The director makes the storyline for the music video, and if I have an idea, I’ll give a suggestion.” Daesung then asked jokingly, “So, did you try to negotiate and cut costs?” Unexpectedly, Lisa laughed and admitted, "I always ask for discounts."
However, the idol admitted that it's hard to stay frugal, saying, "The cost always ends up exceeding expectations because I want to meet fans' expectations." Meanwhile, Lisa released her first full-length album, “Alter Ego,” on February 28, 2025.
The idol is also scheduled to perform at the Academy Awards in March and perform as a solo artist at Coachella in April. On the other hand, Lisa recently shared that she had faced sasaeng. "I had my first sasaeng experience. For the first time, last year. I was alone in South Korea in my house.
The walls of my house are not that high. And I was there alone," she said. "But when I came home... I saw them waiting. So I said to that person... 'I'm really uncomfortable with this. If you want to meet me, let's meet somewhere... public? Coming to my house like this? I feel uncomfortable,'" she continued.
