The venue for the DAY6 3rd World Tour (Forever Young) in Jakarta 2025 concert has been announced to have changed. The concert was originally scheduled to take place at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and was reportedly moved to the Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium.
However, the concert will still be scheduled for May 3, 2025. The announcement regarding the change in concert venue was delivered directly by Mecimapro as the promoter on Friday March 21, 2025 evening via a post on social media.
"This decision was made after careful consideration between us, the organizers, and the management of the Jakarta International Stadium to accommodate and support the football match that will be held at JIS on April 27, 2025 according to the direction of the Jakarta regional government," said the promoter.
In the upload, Mecima also included a statement letter from Jakpro regarding 110/BL0000/IIII/2025/0120 regarding "Relocation of DAY6 Concert Venue" to PT Melania Citra Pertama. The letter contains a statement regarding the venue transfer and also mentions the loading process for the DAY6 concert, which is said to be quite long.
"Taking into account the operational standards required for football matches and concert preparations, schedule adjustments are needed so that both events can run optimally without reducing the quality and the best experience for all parties," said Jakpro.
"After discussions with the relevant parties, including PT Melania Citra Permata and Persija Jakarta, it was agreed that the DAY6 concert venue would be moved to accommodate the technical and operational needs of both events without sacrificing the standards of each organization."
Mecimapro said that tickets that fans have purchased are still valid. However, he admitted that there will be a change in the category name to accommodate the position in the new location. However, the changes are very different for the Yellow, Green, and Gray categories which are festivals or spectators must stand.
Whereas, at JIS, all ticket categories are numbered seating. DAY6 fans or often called MYDAY then called for a strong protest against the planned venue change. One of the main ones is the venue capacity which has changed completely and is not the same.
JIS is recorded to be able to accommodate up to 82,000 spectators. Meanwhile, Madya Stadium can only accommodate about half that or 20,000 spectators. It is not yet known how many tickets have been sold since it first opened in January 2025.
