BTS's J-hope has his own way to celebrate his birthday. Instead of throwing a party, the K-pop idol who is known for his kindness donated 200 million won or around Rp2.2 billion for children's medical care.
Coinciding with his birthday on February 18, 2025, J-Hope donated 200 million won to Asan Medical Center in Seoul. The funds will be used for facilities and medical care for children and adolescent patients, as well as supporting research into rare and serious childhood diseases.
J-Hope hopes that the donation will ease the hardships experienced by children so that they can have a better future. "I hope this donation can provide some help to the children who are suffering right now.
I sincerely hope they have a healthy and hopeful future," J-Hope on said Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The singer of “Arson” said that this is also his way of sharing the love that ARMY (BTS fans) have always given him.
He plans to donate on every birthday. “I want to return the love that ARMY has always shown me. Starting with this birthday, I am honored to continue donating every year,” he said. J-hope is indeed known as a generous K-Pop idol.
He has long shown his consistency in providing assistance to parties or groups in need. Not long ago, he donated 100 million won to support victims of the Jeju Air plane crash tragedy in January 2025.
He also donated 100 million won for Turkey-Syria earthquake relief in 2023. In addition, in 2022 J-Hope donated 100 million won to Seoul Asan Medical Center and 100 million won to support underprivileged children in 2021.
