Chinese actor and singer Alan Yu Menglong, known for his roles in the drama series Eternal Love and Go Princess Go, has reportedly died at the age of 37. The sad news was confirmed by his management through a statement on the social media site Weibo.
"Our beloved Menglong fell and died on Thursday September 11, 2025. According to police investigations, there was no criminal element. May his soul rest in peace and may those who are still alive continue to persevere," the statement said.
According to local media reports, the Chinese actor is believed to have fallen from the fifth floor of his residence in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The incident has sparked speculation on social media. AsiaOne portal quoted sources claiming that Menglong attended a closed meeting at his friend's house on Wednesday September 10, 2025.
He is said to have gone to bed at around 2am, locking the room door from the inside. However, when the friends wanted to leave at 6am, they did not find the actor. His body was later found downstairs by a resident who was walking his dog. The Weibo post was later deleted.
Regarding the incident, Weibo reportedly blocked several accounts that were spreading unfounded rumors about the actor's death. Born in Urumqi, Xinjiang, Menglong first entered the Chinese entertainment industry after participating in the reality program My Show! My Style! in 2007.
He began his acting career in 2011 through the short film The Little Prince before starring in a number of popular dramas including Go Princess Go, Eternal Love, The Legend Of White Snake, The Love Lasts Two Minds, The Moon Brightens For You, Love Game In Eastern Fantasy and Eternal Night Starry River.
