PLEDIS Entertainment issued an official apology following the fireworks incident that occurred on the first night of SEVENTEEN's world tour concert titled 'NEW_' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13, 2025. The incident resulted in several spectators being injured due to a technical malfunction that caused fireworks to fall onto the spectators.

In an official statement, PLEDIS Entertainment explained that although the distance and direction of the fireworks were safely controlled by a professional company and underwent repeated inspections before the concert, the incident occurred due to a defective product.

"We sincerely apologize to all audience members who were shocked or inconvenienced by this unexpected situation," the agency wrote. Two concertgoers who were found to have sustained injuries received immediate treatment at a temporary clinic on site before returning home.

PLEDIS Entertainment promised to fully support their recovery and will contact the attendees to determine if there were any injuries or other damage. To prevent a similar incident on the second day of the concert on September 14, 2025, PLEDIS decided not to use the problematic pyrotechnic products and will conduct stricter safety inspections before using other special effects.

"We once again apologize for any inconvenience or concern this incident may have caused. Audience safety remains our top priority, and we will do our utmost to create a safer concert environment in the future," the statement concluded.
