Following BELIFT LAB's shocking announcement regarding his departure from ENHYPEN, Heeseung recently shared an emotional handwritten letter via the Weverse platform on March 10, 2026.

In the letter, he expressed his gratitude as well as the reasons behind his big decision to pursue a solo career. Heeseung opened his letter by acknowledging that this news must have come as a shock to many, especially ENGENE (ENHYPEN's fanbase). He reflected on the past six years as the most precious moment of his life.

"For me, these six years have been filled with precious moments that cannot be expressed in words. Thanks to the members who shared countless emotions, and ENGENE who always filled the void, I was able to take one step closer to a dream that once seemed impossible," Heeseung wrote.

The 2001-born singer explained that he had been working on personal music. However, he felt an inner conflict between his artistic ambitions and his position within the group. "As ENGENEs know, I've spent a lot of time working on my personal work in hopes of showing it to you.

There are a lot of things I want to show, but on the other hand, I don't want to put my personal greed on the team," he said honestly. He added that this decision was made after long discussions with the agency about which direction would be best to show a better side of himself to fans.

Despite feeling guilty for worrying fans, Heeseung promised to work hard to greet them again soon with more mature solo work. He also emphasized that he will remain ENHYPEN's number one supporter. "I will never forget those moments, and I want to be the person who supports ENHYPEN more than anyone else.

I will work hard to see you again as soon as possible with an even better performance." Heeseung concluded his letter with a heartfelt expression of love for the fans who have supported him throughout his career. "ENGENE! Thank you and I love you," he concluded.
