SEVENTEEN's Hoshi began his military service with a noble gesture and new music. On Tuesday September 16, 2025, he announced a donation of 100 million won for school construction in Zambia and released his new solo song "TAKE A SHOT."

According to the Love Fruit Social Welfare Foundation, Hoshi donated the funds for the construction of a public school in the Ndola region of Zambia. This donation was used to build new classrooms for approximately 350 elementary school students, as well as renovate existing classrooms and an orphanage.

This marks Hoshi's second support for school construction overseas, having previously helped build a national college in Laos in 2024. "I want to give strength and encouragement to children growing up in difficult environments. I hope this new classroom will help them pursue their dreams more healthily," said Hoshi.

Since 2021, he has joined the Honor Society, a large donor community, and is active as a UNESCO Youth Ambassador with other SEVENTEEN members. Additionally, Hoshi will release his solo track "TAKE A SHOT" at 6:00 PM KST through various streaming platforms.

This hip-hop track combines energetic rap, synthesizer sounds, and guitar playing. Hoshi co-wrote the lyrics for this song, expressing his enthusiasm for welcoming 10 years of debut with SEVENTEEN and his determination to move on to a new chapter.
