Song Joong Ki made his small screen comeback with the Korean drama My Youth . In this drama, Song Joong Ki stars opposite Chun Woon Hee. The drama My Youth tells the story of Sun Woo Hae (Song Joong Ki), a former child star who withdrew from the entertainment world because the fame he had left behind a heavy burden and trauma.

Sun Woo Hee now lives a simple life as a novelist and owner of a small flower shop. Her life is peaceful until she reunites with her first love, Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee). According to Nielsen Korea, My Youth achieved a rating of 2.9 percent for the first episode and 2.8 percent for the second episode.

The Korean drama then achieved a rating of 2.2 percent for its third episode, then 2.4 percent for its fourth episode. The drop in ratings for "My Youth" in its second week immediately caught the attention of Korean drama fans. Many had high expectations for Song Joong Ki's comeback project.
