Song Joong Ki has shared a heartfelt message following the quiet conclusion of JTBC’s romance series My Youth, which aired its finale on October 17, 2025 with a nationwide viewership rating of 2.1%, according to Nielsen Korea.

Despite praise for its delicate direction and strong performances, the drama ended with lower-than-expected ratings. Still, Song took the opportunity to express deep affection for the project and those who worked alongside him.

The actor shared, “My Youth was a story of emotions and warmth. The journey of Sun Woo Hae searching for the missing pieces of himself will stay with me for a long time. I hope this drama lingers in your memories as a gentle warmth from our youth.”

He went on to thank the team and viewers, saying, “I’m deeply grateful to the director, writer, fellow actors, and the staff—and above all, to everyone who gave love to ‘My Youth.’”

In My Youth, Song plays Sun Woo Hae, a former child star turned florist and author who hides layers of emotion beneath a calm exterior. The series follows his relationship with Seong Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee), whose reappearance disrupts his carefully rebuilt peace.

Through restrained yet resonant acting, Song portrayed Sun Woo Hae’s evolution—from a man burdened by loss and loneliness to one rediscovering love and healing—showing a more mature depth to his craft.
