In a new video uploaded to Sung Sikyung's official YouTube channel, singer and musical actor Kim Junsu recounts a traumatic experience he experienced due to sasaengs.
The video, titled "Hearing Kim Junsu's journey from idol to major musical acting award," has captured the attention of many K-Pop fans. Sung Sikyung opened the discussion by sharing his recent experience at the airport with Aespa.
He mentioned, "Recently, I was on a flight with Aespa. It wasn't a situation where the manager could protect all the members at once. They were surrounded by about 30 people. They looked very tired."
This experience reminded Junsu of the difficult times he went through as an idol. Junsu recalled how TVXQ member Yunho always carried four cell phone batteries. "He received a call every minute. When I asked what happened, he said, 'Ah, it's from a fan...'
Even after changing his phone number, he still received messages saying, 'Congratulations on your new number.'" Hearing this story, Junsu responded, "As soon as I got my new number, I received a call on my way back to the dorm.
When I answered, they said, 'Did you really think I wouldn't find you?' I felt like my world was crumbling at that moment." Junsu then shared another terrifying experience that happened in their dorm. "
All the members were watching a horror movie together in the living room. The sensor light in front of the door kept flashing. When we checked, there was no one there. So we continued watching for 30 minutes even though we felt something was wrong.
At first, I thought, 'No way...' but when we checked again, there was a woman with lion-like hair standing near the entrance. She had already managed to get inside." After threatening to call the police, they managed to get the woman out and went to bed. However, they were woken up by a loud noise.
"Suddenly, Changmin ran out the door screaming, 'Hyung!' and I saw a woman's feet running towards the second floor. At that time, Jaejoong said that someone tried to kiss him while he was sleeping."
Their manager managed to restrain the woman until the police arrived. Junsu added, "She was smiling even in that situation. The police took her away, but then they let her go saying, 'It's not like she was threatening you.'
It was really scary." Junsu also recalled another incident that happened in a public restroom. He recounted, "We were using the urinals when a group of female fans came out of the restroom stall.
We were urinating, but they stood next to us and asked for autographs. Things like that happened way too often." He added, "At some point, the sasaengs finally disappeared and I got over the trauma, but I think it happened throughout my 20s."
