Besides acting in front of the camera, Korean actors and actresses are also trying new challenges by acting behind the scenes as voice actors for animated films. Like Park Bo Gum who was recently reported to be participating in the voice acting role in the animated musical film titled David.
Reporting from Allkpop on Friday (June 5, 2026), Lotte Entertainment shared a list of Korean voice actors for the animated musical film David via its Instagram page. Along with Jang Gwang and Cha Ji Yeon, Park Bo Gum was also announced as one of the voice actors for the main character in the film David.
This project will mark Park Bo Gum's debut as a dubber after 15 years of acting. As the title suggests, the film David tells the story of an ordinary shepherd named David, who has to face various trials in the desert before finally meeting his destiny as a king.
In this animated musical film, Park Bo Gum will voice the character David. With his distinctive calm and steady voice, he plans to portray David's growth, innocence, and moments of resilience. "I deeply connected with David's courage and the message of hope he conveyed.
I hope this work will be remembered by viewers as one that conveys the courage to try and perseverance in achieving goals," said Park Bo Gum. Meanwhile, the animated film David is scheduled to premiere nationwide on July 15, 2026.
