OnePlus has unveiled its latest flagship 8 series smartphone, creating for the first time a fully 5G line.
The company has released two different models: a top range Pro version and a smaller standard version. The former comes equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, working together with a 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits max brightness.
Similar to the Apple iPhone 11 Pro, it features three separate rear cameras: a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle, and a telephoto camera with 30x digital and 3x hybrid zoom. Power-wise, the 8 Pro taps into a 4,510mAh battery supporting Warp Charge 30 Wireless charging and can replenish up to 50 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.
As for the standard 8 model, many features are shared with the Pro version, though its Fluid Display is at a slightly smaller 6.55 inches and have a lower refresh rate of 90 Hz. It also carries a smaller 4,300mAh battery and 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera.
For those interested, the OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone will start at $900 USD, while the smaller standard edition starts at $700 USD.
