Xiaomi was planning to launch the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Redmi 9 Power in India. The new variant of the smartphone is available for purchase in India across all major online and offline channels. Launched back in December 2020, the Redmi 9 Power bridges the gap between the Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 series.
The Redmi 9 Power comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2340 × 1080) display that is interrupted by a waterdrop notch housing the phone’s 8MP selfie camera. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen. The back has a textured rear panel with a matte finish and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 9 Power is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Its 6,000mAh battery supports fast charging at 18W with a compatible charger being provided out of the box.
As for the cameras, the Redmi 9 Power comes with four rear cameras: a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Other features include dual SIM VoLTE, VoWiFi, 4G, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, and more. It will be sold in three colour options, namely Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red, and Electric Green.
Xiaomi has announced that the official Redmi 9 Power price in India for the new 6GB RAM variant is set at Rs 12,999. It will be available across Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes, and Mi Studios, and other offline retail stores starting 12pm on February 22nd, i.e. today.
