Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has released its new smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The launch took place in China, and the newly launched iQOO Neo 5 is available in the country with a starting price of CNY 2,499.
iQOO Neo 5 comes with a 6.62-inch 120Hz OLED display on the iQOO Neo 5. The screen is HDR10+ certified, supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 1000Hz touch sampling rate, 1300 nits brightness, and a 6000000:1 contrast ratio.
iQOO Neo 5 runs on Android 11-based Origin OS 1.0 operating system. On the inside, it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, paired with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
As for cameras, the iQOO Neo 5 has three on the back, with a 48MP primary camera, a 13MP, and 2MP camera sensors. The primary IMX598 sensor will come with OIS support. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera that is nested inside the punch-hole cutout.
The iQOO Neo 5 is packed with a 4,500mAh battery which is backed by a 66W fast charging over Type-C port. Other features on the smartphone include Android 11-based Origin OS 1.0, Multi-Turbo 5.0 feature, and more.
The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the iQOO Neo 5 is priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 27,900) while the 8GB + 256GB storage option is priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs 30,100). The 12GB + 256GB variant, on the other hand, costs CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 33,400). The phone will go on sale in Black, Blue, and Orange colours.
