Oppo has launched its first Snapdragon 480 smartphone in India – called the OPPO A74 5G – as its most affordable 5G device to date.
The OPPO A74 5G sports a 6.5-inch LTPS LCD panel that bears an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, punch-hole on the top left corner, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has 405 PPI, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 550 nits peak brightness, 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The OPPO A74 5G ships with Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 running out of the box. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC coupled with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage onboard that’s further expandable with a microSD card slot.
In terms of cameras, the OPPO A74 5G rocks a triple camera setup at the back that comprises 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP monochrome snapper. There is an 8MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole.
The OPPO A74 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It measures 162.9 x 74.7 x 8.4mm in dimensions and weighs 188g. Connectivity features include dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and QZSS).
It is priced at Rs 17,990 in the country for the sole 6GB/128GB variant. The OPPO A74 5G will be available in Fluid Black, Fantastic Purple colour options. The phone will be available for purchase starting April 26 at 1 PM on Amazon India.
