Realme has launched the 5G variant of the recently launched Realme 8 smartphone in India. The latest 5G device from the brand, Realme 8 5G comes with MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.
The Realme 8 5G comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, maximum 600 nits brightness, and Dragontrail glass for protection.
The smartphone is powered by the 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC. The chipset is made on a 7nm fabrication process and it has 4x Cortex-A76 CPU cores, 4x Cortex-A55 CPU cores, and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
As for the cameras, the Realme 8 5G has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. A primary rear camera and front camera support Full HD video recording at a 30 frame per second frame rate.
The Realme 8 5G has 4GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The storage is further expandable up to 1TB. Interestingly, the Realme 8 5G supports Dynamic RAM Expansion, which can extend the RAM by using internal storage.
The Realme 8 5G ships with Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0 skin. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. There are two SIM card slots on the device and both are able to work simultaneously with the SA/NSA network.
Additional features on the smartphone include dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Realme 8 5G measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 185 grams.
In terms of pricing, the Realme 8 5G starts at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM+128GB storage variant. While for the 8GB+128GB variant, it costs Rs 16,999. Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black are two color variants of the smartphone.
